The Fanwood Police Department exists to protect and serve the citizens of Fanwood by providing 24-hour emergency services while safe guarding the constitutional rights of all peoples.


Our Goals are to provide:


  • LAW ENFORCEMENT: Fighting crime and arresting violators.
  • ORDER MAINTENANCE: Keeping the peace and enforcing local ordinances. 
  • GOVERNMENT SERVICES: Controlling traffic, providing medical assistance, and preventing violations.

The Fanwood Police Department is coordinating a holiday gift donation for, Parents as Teachers program in Union County. A giving tree with ornaments for each child will be located outside of Borough Hall starting Monday November 23rd . PLEASE TAKE AN ORNAMENT and return the unwrapped gift (with the tag attached) by Friday December 11 to either the Fanwood Police Department, ask for me or bring it to Borough Hall. The Parents as Teachers home visitation program provides services to 60 families in Union County. The anticipated goals for our program are to improved pregnancy outcomes, increased parent involvement in children’s care and education, improved child health and development, prevention of child abuse and neglect, increase school readiness.
