Officer Elliott Bernard of the Fanwood Police Department took second place in the 4th Annual Union County Sheriff’s Pistol Competition at the Union County Sheriff’s Firearms Training Facility in Springfield on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014.

"They set up an obstacle course that you had never seen before, and then you had to shoot over the hood, from behind the trunk and from other positions," Officer Bernard said. "It was a lot of fun."

Officer Craig Howlett of the Roselle PD won 1st Place.  Officer Javier Perez of the Linden PD took 3rd Place.

"Officer Bernard represented the department well," said Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo.  "I'm proud of him."
